The last time that Yankees played in Atlanta, the city’s citizens probably wished firefighters were paid the same as soldiers. In spite of my dislike for police officers, I think that an increase in pay by 3.5% is justifiable. The idea that firefighters should not be treated equally is absurd. To keep us safe, the police put themselves in danger every single day. Every day we see some sort of police action. However, firefighters often dominate the headlines as they combat a number of different fires. If you want to maximize your earning potential and explore new opportunities as a firefighter, then you need to check out the Passive income for firefighters
In my capacity as a city resident, I find it absurd that our police and fire departments receive significantly lower salaries than those of other similar cities. Or even the cities around us. Franklin has done a great job in keeping the budget balanced and recognizes how hard it can be. Her success in creating a savings reserve is also something I admire. Franklin’s determination and character speak volumes. Most Americans are unable to handle this with a reduced budget. In her 2005 budget-veto letter, Franklin stated that she wanted to bring the salaries of the City of Atlanta’s full-time public employees up to par with those of other similar municipalities. I ask, of the 60% who deserve equal pay more than firefighters and police officers. Our city would be in serious trouble without the bravery of these men and ladies. This group of people risk their own lives to protect us every day.
